Your
glasses...
- Clean
and polish both the sides of your lenses with a soft cloth.
- If
your glasses slide into the front of your nose, have them adjusted
immediately at your optician.
- On
putting down your glasses, ensure that the lens is always on top,
then the glass will not get scratched.
Your
eyes...
- While
reading the printed matter should be atleast 12 to 16 inches away
from your eyes,and the illumination should be adequate on the surface
of the text you are reading.
- Do not
read in a moving vehicle, or in insufficient light.
- Always
watch television from a distance that is six times the size of your
screen.
What
you must do for your eyes...
- Wash
your face and sprinkle cold water on the closed eyes 3 to 4 times
a day.
- While
reading, blink once every line for the momentary rest.
- Keep
your eyes closed for rest whenever tired.
- Look
at the sun for 5 minutes with closed eyes. This is very important,
then sprinkle water on the closed eyes.
- Move
your eyes up-down, left-right, diagonally up-down and rotate clockwise-anticlockwise,
10 times to improve the blood circulation.
- Squeeze
your eyes to the count of 12 and then relax to the count of 12. Repeat
this 3 times. This improves the circulation and energizes the eyes.
- Look
at the pencil point from near and then from far and then look at the
horizon. Repeat this 10 times. This is one of the best exercises for
squint and all muscle imbalances.
- Get
the eyes tested for the whole family and maintain a family eyecare
file.
- Buy
only computerized lenses and perfectly manufactured glasses for perfect
power. Insist on proper measurements, machine cut and perfectly centered
glasses.
- Never
use window pane glasses!
- Never
read or watch TV in an inclined position.
- If u
have positive power, you must wear glasses otherwise it gives tremendous
amount of strain.
